Hi! My name is Sam Plouff, and I’m an artist and activist. I share a love between art and the environment; I believe that these two subjects intersect in the most wonderful ways, and I am constantly seeking approaches to find and embrace these interactions.
I am a junior currently working towards two degrees at the University of Michigan:
B.A. Art & Design - photography and sustainable textile design
B.A. Program in the Environment - sustainable food systems in urban contexts
I have extensive experience with photography, videography, sustainable textile design, the Adobe Suite, petition-making, public speaking, and event organizing.
In the past I have worked as an activist for The Humane League and a photographer and intern for Osei Duro. I am currently a photographer for Shei Magazine and the Office of Poverty Solutions , run an animal welfare club on campus, and am on the University of Michigan’s student food advisory board.
